Richard Sherman is a former American professional football player widely recognized for his outstanding career as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). Born on March 30, 1988, in Compton, California, he played college football at Stanford University before being selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Sherman became a key member of the Seahawks’ legendary defense, known as the “Legion of Boom,” and helped the team win Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014. He was also selected to five Pro Bowls and earned multiple All-Pro honors during his career.
